Camile Haylock
Community Affairs Director
Camille Haylock is the Director of the Information Services Division at the Economic Research Service (ERS)
at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). As a member of the Senior Executive Service, she leads the
division in providing innovative IT solutions, publishing, geospatial, and analytic support to enable the
dissemination of ERS research to stakeholders. Camille initially joined ERS in 2016 as the Associate Director
for the division, overseeing operations including oversight of the agency IT budget.
Prior to USDA, Camille held leadership roles with the U.S. Census Bureau first serving as Section Chief for the
Internet Staff in the Demographic Directorate in 2010, where she provided IT project management and web
support. She later served as a Deputy Program Manager in the IT Directorate working on enterprise data
collection and processing. Before joining the Census Bureau, Camille worked for the private sector on IT
contracts supporting Federal agencies including National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention, and the Food and Drug Administration. Camille began her federal career as a student intern at
the Department of Justice and the National Institutes of Health.
Camille is the recipient of several awards and recognition, including the Director's Award for Innovation at the
U.S. Census Bureau and Plain Language & Clear Communication Awards at the National Institutes of Health.
Additionally, she was a contributor to the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) Employee Engagement
Toolkit, graduate of the DOC Executive Leadership Development Program, and graduate of the Leadership in
a Democratic Society Program at the Federal Executive Institute. Camille holds a bachelor's degree in biology
from the University of Maryland College Park, a certificate in Project Management for IT Professionals from
University of Maryland University College, and she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMPĀ®).
