Hollie Bodiford-Taylor

Communications Director

Ms. Bodiford-Taylor is a Senior Advisor and Chief Acquisition Officer in the Office of Chief
Scientist. She also serves as the Chief Data Officer for Inventory and Information Management,
and Chief Officer for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in the Office of
Laboratory Safety. In this capacity she provides strategic direction for information technology,
financial management, human capital, acquisitions, and risk management and analysis.

Ms. Bodiford-Taylor has worked at the FDA for nearly ten years as a Leader in the areas of
Business Informatics, Enterprise Applications; and Occupational Health and Safety. Under her
leadership, the FDA has enhanced business operations, streamlined processes, and
implemented new technological tools. And, in her role as the Chief Officer for Diversity, Equity,
Inclusion, and Accessibility, her primary focus has been on developing strategic programs and
initiatives fostering a workforce that reflects the diversity of the United States creating a strong
culture of inclusion.

Before joining the FDA, she served as a senior leader for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),
as Chief Officer in the Directorate of Science and Technology. Over the course of 15 years in an
executive capacity, she led an unrivaled problem-solving network of military, civilian, and
contractor professionals dedicated to bringing together defense, technology, and
entrepreneurial innovators to solve national security problems in new ways. During her
intelligence career, she shaped and enabled successful management, strategy, implementation,
and administration of programs impacted throughout the intelligence community.

Ms. Bodiford-Taylor is the recipient of several federal awards including the Commissioners
Awards for Leading Cross Cutting Teams, Exceptional Leadership, Managerial Excellence, and
most notably the 2022 NextGen Public Service Communicator of the Year Award. Also, Ms.
Bodiford-Taylor serves in various non-profit professional and community associations as an
officer and board member. She is a member of the African American Federal Executive
Association (AAFEA), a William A. Brown Sr. Scholarship recipient, and a Fellows graduate.
She also serves on the board at one of the top catholic high schools in Maryland, is a charter
member of Patuxent River Chapter of the Links Incorporated and is a 26-year member of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.

Ms. Bodiford-Taylor holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems & Technology
from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from
Hampton University. Ms. Bodiford-Taylor enjoys family, reading, and outdoor time. She's been
married for 26 years and has three children and a dog. Her philosophy is to contribute to
strengthening a growth mindset and investing in creating a culture of learning for future leaders.
